Yogurt is one of the most popular food around the world which is consumed by vast majority as a healthy side dish in breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Most of the people eat it in raw form, whereas few eat it with spices. And some use it to flavour fruits.

Yogurt is used in sweet or sour smoothies which is considered very popular and healthy drink. Now a days frozen yogurt is getting popular as a healthy dessert and alternate of icecream.

If you want to stay healthy and also want to shed some of your weight without going to gym and on the other hand you also dont want to leave your favourite yummy foods then yogurt is your best friend in your quest to stay healthy and fit.

Yogurt is full of Vitamins, Protein, Calcium, Potassium, Phosphorus and Zinc. But very few people know these health benefits of yogurt. Yogurt should be essential part of our diet.

Yogurt keeps blood pressure in control as 8 ounces of yogurt have almost 600mg Potassium which keeps us away from so many diseases like blood pressure.

Another benefit of eating yogurt is, it keeps your bones strong as it has Vitamins and Calcium. If you feel stiffness in your bones, most doctors advised you to add yogurt in your daily diet.

Yogurt has another very beneficial element which is presence of “Probiotics”. These are very helpful for your stomach health. Yogurt helps increase your metabolism and keeps you energized.

Most of the nutrionists suggest to use yogurt if you are on antibiotic treatment as it compensates the loss of friendly bacteria

Sweet & Sour Chicken

Sweet & Sour Chicken recipe

Ingredients

600gm boneless chicken/ cut into small pieces
2tbsp flour
2tbsp corn flour
1 egg
1tbsp soya sauce
1tbsp vinegar
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper

In a bowl add chicken and all these ingredients and mix well and leave it to rest for 30 minutes.

For frying
Oil
Flour
In a pan add oil and flame should be medium high. Add chicken pieces into dry flour and dust them then add in hot oil to fry. Fry all the chicken like this untill golden brown.

Sauce
1 cup tomato ketchup
1/2 cup tomato puree
1 cup pineapple cubes
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1tbsp vinegar
1tbsp soya sauce
One medium size onion
One capsicum
1 tbsp sugar
1tsp ginger garlic paste
2tbsp oil
1/4 cup water

In a wok add oil and ginger garlic paste, sautee. Add onion and capsicum and sautee for 2 minutes. Now add tomato puree and tomato ketchup and spices, fry for a minute thn add soya sauce and vinger and sugar. Add pineapple cubes and cook for few minutes add water and let it simmer for 2 minutes. Now add the fried chicken and mix well. Serve with white rice.

Crispy Honey Chilli Chicken Recipe

Ingredients
Chicken 600g
Plain flour 2tbsp
Corn flour 2tbsp
Soya sauce 1tsp
Vinegar 1tsp
Crushed red chilli 1tsp
Salt 1/2 tsp
Egg 1

Mix all the spices, sauces, egg and flours into chicken, mix well and leave it for 1 hour to marinate.
1/2 cup plain flour.
Oil for frying
In a sauce pan add oil for frying and oil should be medium hot when frying.
Before frying put chicken pieces in dry flour nd just dust it then add in the hot oil and fry till golden brown. Fry all the chicken like this.

Ingredients for Sauce
Tomato puree 1/2cup
Chilli sauce 2tbsp
Honey 5tsp
Salt 1/2 tsp
Garlic paste 1tsp
Oil 1tsp

In a wok add oil nd garlic paste saute then add tomato puree nd fry for few seconds. Now add chilli sauce, honey, salt. Cook for few minutes until thick. Add chicken into this sauce coat the chicken well. Sprinkle sesame seeds and serve with rice.
